Alteo is looking for a Systems Administrator for a permanent position based in Montreal.

You will be responsible for overseeing system administration and internal technical support. This key role includes managing internal IT infrastructure, maintaining systems and services, and providing technical support to users.

Responsibilities:

• System administration: Ensure the installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of IT systems (Windows, Linux, networks, servers, etc.).
• Security and compliance: Implement best practices in cybersecurity and ensure access and update management.
• Internal infrastructure management: Ensure the proper functioning of workstations, networks, servers, and collaborative tools.
• Automation and continuous improvement: Identify and implement solutions to automate and optimize systems management and support.
• Technical support: Manage level 2 user support, resolve incidents, and optimize troubleshooting processes.

Profile:

• DEC in IT or equivalent
• 5+ years of relevant IT experience
• 3+ years of experience in system administration (Windows and Unix/Linux)
• Expertise in technical support and IT infrastructure management
• In-depth knowledge of Unix/Linux and Windows systems
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, a sense of initiative, and good autonomy.
• Knowledge of scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, etc.) (asset)
• Experience with virtualization and configuration management tools (asset)
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) and SSO (an asset)
• Familiarity with cybersecurity, SOC2 compliance, and related infrastructure tools (an asset)

Technical environment:

• AWS (EC2, Route53, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, GuardDuty, Security Hub), managed with Terraform.
• SSO authentication with Microsoft Entra on several of these services
• Mixed IT environment: Windows (version 11), Mac, Ubuntu Linux (workstations reserved for developers).
• Windows environment management with Microsoft Intune MDM and Microsoft Defender EDR.
• Microsoft 365, Jira and Confluence cloud, Github, and Slack tools.

• Gestion des infrastructures internes : Assurer le bon fonctionnement des postes de travail, réseaux, serveurs et outils collaboratifs.
• Automatisation et amélioration continue : Identifier et mettre en place des solutions pour automatiser et optimiser la gestion des systèmes et du support.
• Support technique : Gérer le support utilisateur de niveau 2, résoudre les incidents et optimiser les processus de dépannage.

Profil:

• DEC en TI ou l'équivalent
• 5+ années d’expérience pertinente en TI
• 3+ années d’expérience en administration système (Windows et Unix/Linux)
• Expertise en support technique et en gestion d’infrastructures TI
• Connaissance approfondie des systèmes Unix/Linux et Windows
• Excellentes compétences en communication et en résolution de problèmes, un sens de l’initiative et une bonne autonomie.
• Connaissances en scripting et automatisation (PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, etc.) (atout)
• Expérience avec des outils de virtualisation et de gestion des configurations (atout)
• Expérience avec Microsoft Entra ID (anciennement Azure AD) et le SSO (atout)
• Familiarité avec la cybersécurité, la conformité SOC2 et les outils qui s’y rattachent en infrastructure (atout)

Environnement technique:

• Parc informatique mixte : Windows (version 11), Mac, Ubuntu Linux (postes réservés aux développeurs).
